Anat Doctor graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Switzerland and started practicing in her hometown Lausanne before moving to the UK to complete a Master’s in Sports and Exercise Medicine in London in 2014.
Over the past 15 years, she has worked in private practice across Switzerland, London, and Sydney, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, women’s health, and children’s bladder and bowel physiotherapy. She has also taught clinical rehabilitation, Pilates, and exercise classes throughout her career.
Anat has been living and practicing in Sydney since 2021.
While continuing to treat musculoskeletal conditions in people of all ages and genders, she has also developed a strong passion for pelvic health physiotherapy.
As a mother of two boys, she has personally experienced pregnancy, childbirth, postnatal recovery, and return to sport. This lived experience has deepened her understanding of the physical and emotional changes women go through and has shaped the way she supports women through all stages of life. She works to help them improve their quality of life, overcome pain, and achieve their personal goals.
Motherhood has also inspired her growing interest and further professional development in Children’s bladder and bowel physiotherapy. She enjoys helping children address concerns early, build confidence, and establish healthy lifelong bladder and bowel habits that set them up for long-term success.
She trained in Pilates and Personal Training, and integrates a holistic, biopsychosocial approach into her treatment plans. She combines hands-on therapy, targeted exercise, education, and lifestyle guidance to create sustainable, long-term outcomes tailored to each individual.
Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors with her husband and children. She enjoy staying active, particularly through yoga, pilates and tennis.
